Demand Side management (DSM) is a part of the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and it is one of the tools that used by planners for the  development of electricity sector. The main reason of these (DSM) programs is to achieve more cost-effective supply system to the end users and  to reduce growth in energy demand by improving the efficiency in the usage of electricity.
