Automata are the prime example of general computational systems over discrete spaces. Incorporation of fuzzy logic into automata theory led to the fuzzy automata, which have several useful properties including handling continuous spaces and uncertainty. The focus of this work is a detailed analysis of the output issue in fuzzy automata andits significance. We show how it can be handled using a Moore machine model in which outputs are associated with the states
