General Packet Radio service (GPRS) is a part of the evaluation path towards 3G. This paper investigates the effect of using adaptive overlapping between adjacent cells on the data sessions within GPRS system. A simulator model was developed to study the behavior of data transmission between a GPRS server and data terminals via air interface.
